Experience an incredible epic journey between Chamonix, the capital of mountaineering, and Zermatt, Switzerland's most emblematic mountain village. From Chamonix, you'll cross 6 Alpine valleys, each more beautiful than the last, with exceptional panoramic views of glaciers and peaks topping 4000m. Following in the footsteps of the Haute Route and the Grand Raid Cristalp, you'll discover the local culture and traditions, before a majestic finish in Zermatt, facing the Matterhorn.

PROGRAM

CHAMONIX :

Welcome to Chamonix, world capital of mountaineering.

After a long journey, take the opportunity to relax at the foot of the highest peak in the Alps and contemplate the impressive rocky needles, glaciers, corridors and other dizzying faces.

CHAMONIX - CHAMPEX:

DISTANCE : 45 km A+ : 1 870 m D- : 2 430 m

From Chamonix, a pleasant balcony trail will take us to the first ascent of the day, up to the Col de la Forclaz. A coffee break in the refuge to admire Mont-Blanc and we dive into Switzerland on a pretty mountain singletrack to get into the swing of things straight away. The last descent will take us to the heights of Martigny, offering a striking panorama of the vineyards classified as UNESCO world heritage sites. We will reach Champex, a charming village on the edge of a mountain lake, to spend the night.

CHAMPEX – NENDAZ:
Discover the Val de Bagnes and Verbier, the Ebike paradise;

DISTANCE : 48 km D+ : 1 800 m D- : 2 100 m

We will start the day with a superb descent on a playful trail with a panorama of Verbier and the Val de Bagnes. We will take advantage of the ski lifts to reach Verbier, and ride on some of the world-famous trails. After a meal break in an idyllic location facing the Grands Combins, we will continue the day on playful trails winding through the larches and on a sublime bisse to reach our accommodation.

NENDAZ-EVOLENE:
Between Val d'Hérémence and Val d'Hérens

DISTANCE : 48 km D+ : 1 800 m D- : 2 000 m

We will start the day with a superb descent on a playful trail with a panorama of Verbier and the Val de Bagnes. We will take advantage of the ski lifts to reach Verbier, and ride on some of the world-famous trails. After a meal break in an idyllic location facing the Grands Combins, we will continue the day on playful trails winding through the larches and on a sublime bisse to reach our accommodation.

EVOLENE - ST LUC :
At almost 3000m, an incredible descent with a vue on a turquoise lake

DISTANCE : 37 km A+ : 1 000 m D- : 2 700 m

This day is undoubtedly the most sensational of your adventure. On the menu today, the famous Col de Torrent, which we will reach by pedal for the finest pilots. A crossing point at almost 3000m between the Val d'Herens and the Val d'Anniviers, it offers a sublime panorama of the surrounding peaks and an exceptional descent of 1800m in altitude. The view of Lake Moiry, one of the deep turquoise blue jewels of the region, will leave you amazed. We will finish this long trail to the village of Grimentz to enjoy a delicious picnic and stock up on energy before the final ascent which will take us to our accommodation. Nestled on the mountainside, this historic hotel awaits you for a timeless night. A haven of peace and relaxation, only accessible by bike or by foot.

ST LUC - BURCHEN:
The trails of Val d’Anniviers: our favorite adventure

DISTANCE : 49 km A+ : 1 390 m A- : 1 200 m

Take the time to enjoy a cappuccino on the hotel terrace bathed in the sunrise before starting this incredible day. We will then attack with an infinite descent to go back down the Val d’Anniviers valley. A subtle blend of sandy soil and pine needles for a sensational descent.

The second part of the day alternates between pleasant rolling track and zigzagging trail in the fir forests. Night in a charming mountain hotel in the German-speaking part of Valais.

BURCHEN - ZERMATT:
Finish in apotheosis facing the Matterhorn

DISTANCE : 45 km A+ : 1 100 m D- : 2 300 m

We will reach the Moosalp mountain pasture and continue on a balcony route on the mountainside offering a breathtaking view of the valley going back to Zermatt.

We will descend by a fast and playful descent with beautiful hairpins through the larch forests to the bottom of the valley which we will ascend by a pleasant path along the river to the village of Täsch. Our shuttle will be waiting for us there to take us to the hamlet of Taschalp, then we will join a balcony path which leads straight to the heights of Zermatt. You will discover the Matterhorn from a sensational point of view, before reaching the village via a final flowtrail of which only Zermatt has the secret.

We will end this adventure in the main square to immortalize the moment in front of the majestic summit before returning to our hotel and celebrating the success of the adventure together.

ZERMATT:
One last ride closer to the glaciers

DISTANCE : 25 km A+ : 500 m D- : 2 500 m

For this last day, we suggest you ride on the Zermatt mountain bike trails using the ski lifts. There are so many beautiful things that the choice will be difficult.

The Gornergratt mountain bike descent is one of the most incredible experiences in Zermatt. After an ascent to the summit (3089m) aboard the rack railway, you will have a breathtaking view of the Matterhorn, the Gorner glacier and the mountain range at 4000m.

The descent is initially on a technical trail winding over a pile of rocks then gives way to a magnificent single trail in the soft earth of the mountain pastures. The reflection of the Matterhorn in Lake Riffelsee is an incredible sight. The rest of the descent will take place between technical trails and ultra-fun flowtrail to Zermatt, always in a sumptuous panorama.

Return to Tasch at 2 p.m. to return to Martigny station.
